Rob Riley
Rob Riley is our service writer with years of experience in the automotive parts industry. Count on Rob’s excellent service to treat you right from beginning to end.
Rob Self, Master Technician
Rob has spent his entire automotive career in Manatee County. Beginning right down the street in 1987 at the former Holmes Beach ’76 Station until he owned and operated the Long Beach Chevron for 16 years at the north end of Longboat Key. He continued honing his skills and building customer relations in Palmetto until arriving here with our Grooms Motors and Automotive family. Robby’s clientele has followed him throughout the years and we think that speaks volumes to his integrity, service and skills. We are glad to have him here!
Josh Self, Technician
Josh started watching his father Robby fix vehicles at an incredibly young age, so he has been around the automotive industry for many years. He is bright and courteous. We are extremely happy he is a part of our team and look forward to working with him for many years.
Filipe De Oliveira, Technician
Filipe received his technical degree and has been working in automotive repair for a few years. He is a fast learner and is quick to offer help to those around him. We are excited he is part of our team.
The Grooms family still provides old-fashioned customer service with cutting edge green technology.
Grooms patriarch, Rodney, operated the automotive business at the location from 1968 to 1998. Our family wants this new chapter of the business to be a throwback to the vision Rodney believed in and the kind of customer service he offered back then.
Grooms Motors & Automotive is engaged with the community, hosting and sponsoring events. It’s something we want to do and something we love to do.
